Our Journey

2011 — The Beginning A Vision Becomes a Movement
Pastor C. Shaemun Webster of The Tower of Prayer Church in Leeds carried a deep
outreach vision: to fill the gaps of need in the surrounding community. That vision was given
a name — Servolution, (a name adopted from Servolution Network) a movement through
serving. It launched humbly, with volunteers gathering to host a coat drive and serve hot
soup in the cold of winter, reaching approximately 40 neighbors in need. From that first act
of service, something extraordinary began.

2011–2020 — Growing Through Giving Service That Grew a Church and a Community
As the church served more, it grew more. Holiday food giveaways, school supply drives,
clothing and toy distributions, and pandemic grocery giveaways followed; each initiative an
expression of the belief that service is the surest path to community connection. Volunteers
from The Tower of Prayer Church remained the heart and backbone of every effort, giving
freely of their time and energy year after year.

2021 — A New Tradition Christmas City Market Is Born
Since 2021, TOP Community Development has hosted its annual Christmas City Market, a
signature event partnering with local organizations to bring free household goods, children's
toys, books, clothing, and more to families across the community. To date, over 500 families
have been served through this beloved gathering, which stands as a testament to what is
possible when community comes together.

2023 — Official Establishment TOP Community Development, 501(c)(3)

To expand our capacity and deepen our impact, TOP Community Development was formally established as a nonprofit organization in 2023. This milestone unlocked new possibilities: global philanthropic initiatives, scholarship opportunities for deserving scholars, and a broader platform to pursue our three core pillars of community impact. The organization stands today as the institutional expression of a vision that began more than a decade ago with a simple act of service.
